Shipping And Returns

Thank you for choosing Last Resort Chocolate. We take great care in crafting and packaging our chocolate so it arrives fresh and in excellent condition. Please review our Shipping & Returns Policy before placing an order.

1. Shipping Locations

We currently ship to:

  • All U.S. states and territories​

  • We do not ship internationally yet.  

Please see our Warm-Weather & Heat-Sensitive Shipping  below. Any constructive and informative notes regarding your specific shipping situation are welcomed.

2. Order Processing Time

All of our products are handmade in small batches in our Chocolate Laboratory. 

  • Orders are normally processed within 48 hrs.  

  • Our goal is to minimize expected latency and delays in the shipping process.  We normally ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and Thursday dependent on available delivery schedules. Cooling materials are added and packages are delivered

Processing times may be extended during holidays, promotions, or high-volume periods.

3. Shipping Methods & Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery address

  • Package weight and size

  • Selected shipping method

​

We may use carriers such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on the destination, shipping conditions and cost.

4. Warm-Weather 

Chocolate is sensitive to temperature. During warm months or when shipping to hot climates, we may include:

  • Insulated packaging

  • Cooling packs

  • Heat-protection materials

​

We highly recommend selecting expedited shipping during warm-weather seasons. We 

​

Last Resort Chocolate is not responsible for melting, heat damage, or weather-related delays once the package has been shipped.

5. Order Tracking

You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships. Please ensure your shipping address is accurate at checkout.

We are not able to reroute packages once they have been shipped.

​

6. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

Once a package is in the possession of the carrier, it becomes their responsibility. However, we want you to have the best experience possible.

  • Lost or stolen packages: Please file a claim directly with the carrier.

  • Damaged packages: Contact us within 48 hours with photos of the item and packaging.

We will review your request and may offer a replacement or store credit at our discretion.

7. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the nature of food products, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

​

However, if there is an issue with your order, such as receiving the wrong item or a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We may request photos for verification, after which we may offer:

  • A replacement item

  • A refund

  • Store credit

​

This is handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Order Cancellations & Changes

You may request a cancellation or order change within 12 hours of placing your order. Once processing begins, we cannot modify or cancel the order.

9. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

If an address is entered incorrectly at checkout:

  • We are not responsible for delays or lost packages

  • Additional fees may apply if the carrier returns the package to us

​
