About Us
Aloha Kākou, welcome to the Last Resort.
Last Resort Chocolate began in 2018 with a leap into the great unknown. What started as a life devoted to the pursuit of justice shifted toward the pursuit of growing something honest, nourishing, and deeply connected to this island: Agriculture. The sweet endeavor was cacao.
From planting our very first trees to crafting chocolate that reflects the soul of Kaua‘i, this journey has demanded faith, grit, and a willingness to trust the land. Farming is full of unknowns—weather, pests, and pandemics all of which teach us to be thankful for what we have, for that’s where true happiness lives.
Mahalo I Ka Mea Loa‘a.
Be thankful for what you have, for that’s where true happiness lives.

Meet Scott
The Last Resort Chocolate. Ahh, whats in a name? Well it’s our way of life. Our ethos. Let me do my best to explain. The ‘Last’ thing this small island community needs is another 'resort'. Another complex of concrete and steel designed to add a perceived comfort and luxury for the cush traveler. That is the absolute last thing needed here. Instead we challenge this norm and suggest a different perspective. Live outside the ‘box’. Live outside. Enjoy the terrain, the weather, the sky, the stars. Feel the sunshine, the rain, the snow, the wind and the soil between your toes. Get dirty. Grow food. Attempt the impossible. Immerse yourself in a Big Dream and Send It…or stay shackled. Its about being all in on your ‘Last Resort’. Burn the bridges. Sink the ships. Don’t leave yourself a way out. Memento Mori. Carpe Diem. Go all in. Change someone’s world. Change the World. Find your ‘Last Resort’ and get after it. Take one of our chocolate bars along on the adventure.
