Merry Christmas from the Last Resort Chocolate. I am sitting here before sunrise working on various parts of the website and I noticed the overcast sky had broken on the eastern horizon and the familiar, unique glow appeared in the distance. The northerly breeze is setting up the clouds for an incredible color filled sunrise. I set my phone out on the tripod and wait to see how this plays out.
I hope this finds everyone doing well. My thoughts are with those friends and family who are in the middle of personal, professional and various health issues and the hope is each of you finds the time to take a deep breath and settle into the moment and smile. For those of you having to work or travel, stay safe.
Yesterday, after a trip into town for fuel and supplies, I encountered the familiar island holiday traffic affectionally known as the 'Kapa'a Krawl'. Here we exist without ever changing our clocks for the daylight savings time but with the holiday travelers arrival we do have to account for sitting in traffic and unfamiliar tourists doing annoying tourist-y things.
The Farm is doing well with another cacao harvest approaching and the 2025 vanilla harvest is not far off. The next two chocolate runs are planned for January and will be timed with the arrival of our customized packaging. Our 75% Dark Chocolate with Vanilla and Sea Salt will be back available and we will launch the much anticipated 75% Dark Chocolate Bourbon Barrel Aged Bar. I am looking forward to documenting and sharing via blogs and posts on social media and appreciate you all following along. Thank you for all of the support as we enter the last few days of 2025. Until then, the plan is to enjoy tonight's Christmas Eve service with friends and Christmas day tomorrow. Mele Kalikimaka from all of us here at the Last Resort Chocolate.
